Such a funny name for a garden..........beautiful pictures @Liriodendron, thanks for sharing
  • You're welcome, @Mary370.  The garden is very exposed, or was before the shelter belt grew, and was originally flat farmland, hence the name.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Walked through a small section of Regent's Park in London today and it was wonderfully impressive. I'm not particularly into bedding schemes but if you're going to do them, do them like this!

  • If you only ever visit one garden this year, make sure it's the Old Vicarage at East Ruston.
    Really inspirational.

Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good autumn garden, dahlias, grasses, salvias etc. in the Gloucestershire/Herefordshire/ Worcs areas? I know it's a pretty big area, but l am keeping fingers crossed for a day out next week. Something a bit different from the NT ones, more of a Breezy Knees type place. Any suggestions welcome.  :)

National Botanic Garden of Wales, Camarthenshire, Wales. Got a 2-for-1 offer so couldn't resist visiting on the way home from a wet Bank Holiday weekend.

    Camouflaged bee.
