I forgot the Bishops  Palace  garden in Wells, lovery setting and beautiful garden and Wells is a small, interesting city,  which  would be an ideal place to stay. If I remember correctly a forum member posted some lovely pictures after a  visit last year.

I have done a search and can't find a thread yet for gardens we have visited this year so I've started this one.

We went to a lovely garden near Bury Saint Edmunds this afternoon, Fuller's Mill in West Stow. There was a lot to look at even this early in the year.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

It's a lovely use of wood chip mulch.

Good idea for a thread. I await the results with interest, especially as far as North Devon goes! Little point, of course, me saying we like Rosemoor. Much better than Wisley IMHO.

I too prefer Rosemoor to Wisley.
I've said it before but Wisley is also known as The Surrey Creche. Lots of Yummy Mummies ( and Grans ) with millions of kids in various states of control, or lack of.
    Devon.
  • I went to Bodnant Garden, earlier in the year. The winter garden was beautiful as well as the more rugged areas.
