  • Dacha ... I've just heard on the news about the plane tragedy today just outside Moscow ... it's a route to the Urals that my ex DIL and her family (and of course my son and his friends) have used many times ... my condolences to all Russians and everyone affected.    So sad image

Haven't heard any news today but I'd e more concerned about those they leave behind and the holes in their lives which can't ever be filled.  I hope they get help with the grieving process, financial if needs be and also understanding why and not just the usual easy gloss over of "pilot error"..

Just back from walkies at the beach.  Seemed like half the local population was out there with their kids and dogs but we had a lovely bracing walk into the wind and enjoyed lots of delightful sandpipers and another bird I don't know foraging in the wet sand and then a warmer feeling return walk.   Favourite restaurant/café place closed so home for coffee now, just as the heavens opened.  Good timing.

OH now watching rugby so I'm off to commune with some patchwork.

Bitter Joyce we went out to do a bit but were back inside within half an hour!

    What a fab game,

We worked hard to win! Hope Punks  health didn’t suffer with all that excitement

LP,    my only outing was to the bird feeders. The ground was slippery.

Obelixx, I don't think thee would be any dog walkers on our beach today.

I saw a lady walking two black Labradors down the road and the top halves of the dogs were white with snow. Poor dogs should have had coats on.

It's not weather for being outdoors Pat and more snow is forecast for tomorrow and Tuesday.

I hope your weather is a bit more comfortable for you now so that you can enjoy being outdoors.

    Evening all / Morning Pat.

We've had all weather here (bar warmth!) today. We had hail storms which dusted the ground with little beads of white, which looked just like that baker's sugar you see on Chelsea Buns!

Just deciding whether well enough to go back to work after my cold/flu virus... I don't really feel up to it but to have longer off would involve going to the GP - which, what with the bizarre appointment system and sitting in a germ-filled room, is not that appealing either. Don't even get me started on the work sickness policy!

Hope everyone doing ok - with no new germs, ailments or worries to report.

Just doing a decaf for me and hot choc for OH, so shout out if you fancy a cup of anything...

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Hope you feel better in the morning AuntyR.  Know what you mean about sickness policy if you are employed with the NHS.
