    Afternoon all.

    Massive Congrats Wonky!

Punkdoc - you are a "one"!

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Spent most of the morning in the studio ... however cricked neck is sore again ... I have been sent back to the sofa and the knitting and OH has rubbed Muscle Rescue liniment into my neck and shoulder ... I feel as if I'm about to spontaneously combust!!!!!!!!!!!!!! image

Had to send OH out to get some jars for the chilli marmalade.  I think he's got most.  No snow so that's not it.

Definitely time to relax and enjoy WW, while you still can.

Have had Possum on email asking for help with English - nothing new there - but also French!   That's new.   She also kindly suggested I sew something nice for me before doing anything else for her.  So many implications there but I'm busy doing her new bag and then I need to fit cushion pads to the newly cleaned dining chairs and cover them.

    Loads of fun.

Dove - nothing wrong with being hot stuff.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Dove go and rest! There's room on the sofa if the cats budge up!

Hazel I've opted for an episode of Endeavor.... Young Morse...just discovered it so that and a pint of Darjeeling tea under a blanket! image four inches of snow! Yup think that's about what we have, and promised more like you! Hope you have everything you need in the house, keep warm and wrapped up! I'm starting the new job Monday so making most of the time off and hoping for better weather next week for us all!!!!

  • Will do Wonky image  The good news has gone to my head ... the Hotter catalogue plopped on the doormat ten minutes ago and I've already ordered a new pair of sandals image

  • Dove I hesitate to suggest this but my big sis had a lot of neck & shoulder problems a while back & after a lot of back forth she was advised..... to stop knitting....... for a good while at least, turns out it wasn't the cause but it was aggravating things.

Pdoc I admire your desire to use your skills in this area but agree with others,  you admitted you were weeding lying down a little over a week ago; be realistic.! If there is a way you can be of use in  training others that would be an excellent use of your abilities. Maybe offer for those on the front line to consult you via Skype or similar, save you being there in person.

    AB Still learning

Congratulations Wonky! What are you going to be doing? Good luck for Monday and enjoy your week.

Punkdoc I had a feeling that's what you might be doing, but am surprised they would have risked sending anyone in poor health. As others have said, perhaps you could be involved in training while you get back to 100%?

We now have a pond! There were moments today - including the point when I was standing in the freezing cold water while a blizzard swirled around me - when I couldn't stop laughing, slightly hysterically, at the absurdity of the situation. We still have to sort out all the edges, trim the liner etc but that'll wait for another day. Very pleased to have the bulk of the job done.

BL I hope you are able to travel on Thursday.
