Today is the day the window sill propagator comes out of hibernation - seeds of lupin, scabious, persicaria, rudbeckia and larkspur are all lined up on the table ready to sow .......my gardening year has started. Woop woop
Not been around for a while - life got in the way . Looks like I have a heap of reading back to do
Yes, growing things from seed is a miracle every time. Tiny lifeless seed produces something so vigorous and full of promise... you're right to celebrate, Fire Lily and Pat.
Clari, have you tried memory foam pillows? We love them. Ideally you need to borrow one before committing though...
Dacha - English is so hard to analyse when you've spoken it from birth! My OH taught English as a foreign language in Ekaterinburg, and would find at the end of the day he felt his head was exploding from the complexity of the questions he was asked by his adult students. He loved it though! And after he returned home he'd get texts and emails from students (often in the middle of the night...) asking for help. Good luck with the capitals... I think it's a pretty vague rule, if indeed there is one. I like "Sun" (heavenly body, or (yuk!) newspaper) and sun, the thing that shines. And earth, in my garden, or Earth, the planet.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Morning all! Afternoon Pat, and hello Chicky and Yvie, haven't seen either of you for a while, glad to see you back and ready to garden!!!
Glorious sunshine here! Been yonks since we had anything but rain and snow! Already topped up bird feeders in purple dressing gown and am supping first coffee

Here they are. It’s still light enough outside for a snapshot @ 7.25.
I really love growing from seed. Much more satisfying than cuttings, IMO.
Morning peeps

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sun can be a verb too of course, as Hosta knows well ...

I suppose "earth" is a verb too - as in "earth up" the potatoes...
