I've just spoken to Wonky - it took her three times the normal time to get to work this morning, but all is ok now image

Good to know Norfolk police have managed to hang onto their sense of humour

Lots of huffing and puffing here from the wind which is getting quite noisy again.  Lots of lovely wet stuff too.   SM raid this morning.  Still no fresh red chilies on sale but I did find some blood oranges so will make blood orange and chili marmalade with ginger instead.

Just had baked fennel with goat's cheese and sun dried tomatoes for lunch.  Bit late so has to last us till after dancing now;  More sewing for me till then.

Hosta - hope you are well and OH too.  Nice looking fish but I just don't like tattoos.

Liri - enjoy your sun and warmth.   Pat - stay cool.

Everyone else, stay safe and warm.

Glad to hear you're there safe and warm, Liri. Enjoy. And Hosta too - fish on the beach sounds lovely.

Pat, I feel busy enough and I'm not working at the moment! And I've only got two kids! You're amazing for doing that while working f/t and with 3 - hats off to you image.

I've realised why this pest / disease stuff is such a struggle for me to learn - the more I know, the more I realise can go wrong. Instead of just blithely going along on a trial and error basis, it makes me feel much less confident about doing anything in case the lergies come and get my plants! Don't worry, I still love the course, and logically I do know it's important and useful to know this stuff. It's just that reading about all the nasties for hours, day after day makes me want to stick my fingers in my ears and sing loudly.

Just been and bought Trill's birthday present. So that's good.

Just heard from son ... he has no electricity, consequently no wifi and poor phone reception where he lives and has been told it may be a couple of days until it's restored ... I expect he'll manage ...

    See original post

Thanks again dove ....that sounds tough on your son.....where does he live .....a couple of days sounds awful.......wishes to everybody else hit by the weather .....
