Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

There's a blast from my past Dove. Remember seeing the Modern Lovers, when I was a student. Might find some and have a listen later.

Managed a short walk, beautiful and sunny, so well worth it.

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

That’s not the one Dove. It was #getty something.

Can’t make it work Dove. It reached 57.6c on the cricket ground. Pity the English cricketers trying to play.

I agree Dove. They should look after their sportspeople better than that, The tennis was bad too. Forget what it was, but in the long run, it must affect their health.

Playing cricket in those temperatures is mad.

Still not raining and quite mild. Walked round the winter paddock checking the fences as we are going to Norfolk on Thursday. Found the polycarbonate window that had blown off the GH. But everywhere is so wet I don't feel like gardening.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

The ground here is frozen Busy so no chance of gardening for a while.

    Hello Everyone,

-7 here but glorious. Just had long walk round the policies, all 3 lochans frozen, plenty geese sliding into land.  I could watch them all day but too cold to linger

Punk glad you got some fresh air and a wee dose of vit D

Pat stay cool.  I remember thinking when it was extremely hot in Melbourne it was extremely cold back home.

    enjoy your afternoon everyone
