Ikea big blue bags ......the best log luggers ever .....BH and I have just shared a couple from the log pile to get the fire going for this evening's arrivals .....just a year ago I could do it myself .....macho and stupid
Hello , Ika there’s a new one by Meadow Hall but not going this time , always good for candles & serviettes , glasses etc
Wood - lit a fire tonight and said to o/h need to get chain saw out on Sunday and cut more wood , as it will be dry but cold but use old plasic shopping boxes from Tesco for storage , stacks nicely in Garage , not that a car has been in there for 25 years or so
I bought red Billy bookshelves to store my cookery and gardening books because I could also get red CD/DVD shelves to put in the middle and in the hall I could do red. The bookshelves bent under the weight! We took the bookshelves to the tip before we moved but the CD/DVD racks are still with us - for now.
I'm hoping that when our decs come down tomorrow OH will be more open to my plans for painting walls and making curtains. He'll have all of January to get used to the idea as I'm busy doing other sewing and need good spring light to paint.
I quite enjoy a supermarket shop but I'm still reveling in all the different locally caught fish and locally grown veg we can buy here and never have to do it at SM rush hours. That will no doubt change a bit as the potager comes online this coming year and we need less bought veg and salads. We've had nearly 40cms of rain since mid December!!! More than all of our first 14 months here put together. I also like fossicking around fabric shops and flea markets and brocantes and Trocs and, most especially, plant fairs but not keen on any other shopping...........
DL - we liked this house as it had 2 log burners. However they are so hot we hardly use them. Daft, innit?
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

It feels pretty good Dove. Just a couple of twists give a sharp jab, but basically ok. Such a relief. I was imagining a long period of being in plaster which didn’t please me.
I might visit the Chiropracter next week and see what he thinks. It might just need a bit of realignment.
