  • Good morning all.  Hi Pat!

I've read back a little bit, though November's "Forkers" is so long I don't think I'll have the time to do more than skim... it's good to see you back, Bushman, and to see that Punkdoc is finding the energy to post as well.  And Chicky & Hosta seem to be having great times on holiday.  image

Fairy, only 2.4 degrees here, but at least it's no longer slippery out.  Hope you get your weekend expedition this time.

OH is considering getting up, so I may be needed... see you later!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Maybe the ex-PC just wanted to grind his political axe, Joyce, or get 15 minutes of fame.  Or, indeed, some money.  Totally agree with you, Dove, about the confidentiality aspect given it wasn't illegal.

Meant to say to Obelixx - best wishes to poor Cosmos.  Hope the op makes the paw comfortable.

  • Ouch!  just read about Cosmos' tootsie ... bless him and hope he recovers quickly ... can't be much fun for him or you image

    Morning all.

I hope the antibiotics work well for Liri's OH, nasty thing to have.

Poor little Cosmos, I hope the op improves his paw, but I expect it will take time.

Off to Norwich again, lunch then theatre this afternoon.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Are you doing the Park & Ride again BL ......... no parking spaces to be had in the city image

    Morning all.

Wow. you chatty lot. Is it the cold weather keeping you all indoors.

Andrew is a perfectly splendid name for a Nov 30th Boy. My mother went into labour, but lasted until 3am on Dec 1st, but the name had been agreed by then.

Keep it Andrew, never Andy though.

I had a lovely , lovely day yesterday. Pool, sun, walking on the beach at sundown , lovely meal then joined by the bike tour couple to chat about lots of placed we've both seen, places and things each of us have seen / want to see and , for them, quite a lot of gin.

    Hubby has a sore head.

I'll try to catch up soon. , battery low so best log off

xx to all for Birthday wishes.

    Devon.

We’re watching Antarctic station being moved to avoid a huge crack in the ice. Fascinating,

Hi Glenys. We managed 115.5mm for November (amazingly)and Ive counted 23 mm today, so we are very happy after months of almost no rain. Our tanks are all full too. image

Our temps are up and down at the moment but I expect it will soon be hot every day.image

  • The best laid plans of mice etc .... I intended to go up to the farm shop earlier than usual this morning ... however the car was reluctant to start ... at the third go it started so I decided to take it on a run out along the A47 without lights/wipers/radio etc to charge the battery up ... I drove eastwards along the A47 to Gt Yarmouth and back ...a 50 mile round trip ... the morning was dry and bright so no need for lights and wipers etc ... I came back via the farm shop to pick up the meat, veg, bread, milk etc for the weekend and the car started quite happily when I left so hopefully that did the trick ... but that's the morning done with. image

We've only been doing very short trips just lately and what with the cold weather I expect the battery was low. I'll have to take it out for a sightseeing trip every so often this winter.

I love the Halvergate Marshes alongside the A47 ... among the grazing sheep and beef cattle, there were large flocks of lapwings on the grazing marshes and in the distance I could see even larger flocks of different sorts of waders on the mud of Breydon Water as it was low tide.image
