great to hear you are home Pdoc , re one's own bed...I would add toilet as well
Liri.....know what you mean about your GD , exactly the same age as my only grandchild and she is a tornado on Red Bull
Well done Mrs Steephill AKA OBEWAN .....we had a friend here in Moscow who worked for BA back in the 90s .....she was amazing and organized , voluntarily , everything for all the new expats especially the wives who were thrown into the deep end with their hubby's postings. The presiding UK ambassador put her forward for an OBE ....and hey presto she got it . The whole expat community were so supportive .
Back is killing me as I have been in the kitchen most of the day .....I usually get a request from guests for the classic Delia's CTT and a great mango pudding by Ching He Huang . They look great on the plate together
TBH Dove and Hosta, I've only been to the end of our garden once - the paddock end that is. It's a tad overgrown waiting for horsey neighbour to get his act together and put his horses in there.
Just back from the cinema in Nantes where we saw the new Star Wars after dropping Possum at the airport. Needless to say they didn't tell people it would be late till they were due to board. As we had time, we went to a big SM in Nantes - talk about trolley rage! Not like our local ones at all tho most people were perfectly polite and easy going.
Sleepy now. Kitties played hysterical ticky for nearly an hour when I went to bed and then Cosmos decided he needed cuddles at 4am. He tells me this by prodding my nose with his paws or his nose. Then up early for the drive to the airport.
Pleased you're home Pdoc. Hope you catch up on your sleep.
Congratulations Mrs Steephill!
Never read any Maupin. Dove - I can see why you wouldn't get into the HP films if you haven't read the books or heard the CDs. The films leave out so much info and put in bits that didn't happen. The books are not perfectly written by any means - some unnecessarily long and repetitive bits - but are well researched and good fun and I, for one, needed to know what happened next the minute I started reading them.

It is but ironically sun is later to rise we get darker mornings for the first few weeks in January. I used to think it was my imagination till i looked it up & found it is a real phenomenon.
Hosta..........I meant chocolate truffle tort .....you know..... that one which brought the liquid glucose commodity market to a standstill .....I believe it is still the best chocolate tort recipe of all time .....no matter what the Delia knockers say .....I still refer to her bible .....shall I duck now?
Obe-wan is quietly pleased in the traditional British manner, thanks for the kind comments.
We used to joke about the old Japanese soldier hiding in the shed at the bottom of the garden, refusing to surrender. When we bought the place the surveyor said we should keep out as it was in imminent danger of collapse. Took 20 years before it did so.

We've been to the end of your garden twice Hosta, and we don't live there!
So glad you're home Pdoc ... sweet dreams and all good wishes to you and Moira for a better year ahead ((hugs))

"Delias CTT" brought this up on google. I'm guessing it's not what you were talking about?

Lovely to read that you’re home Punkdoc. Hope you feel a bit better.
congrats to steephill BH.
Its hard to believe that it’s New Years Eve already. They are planning a huge fireworks display on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. What an expense.
