Thank God for that! I think I was thinking of the hangover remedy not the cold cure! I hope it helps Dove anyway.

Hi everybody. Funny re egg v lemon !

Spiced rum is my favourite - no cold required!

Hope everyone doing ok? Most people are back after various festivities I see.

Doing a roast veg bake-up this evening, even have brussel sprouts in there.

NB, we moved here on Dec 21st 2011 and we had pelargoniums in flower on the terrace ( previous owners' )

Right, need to get moving, the sun is shining now.

    Catch you all later.

I still have an Oak Leaf Pelargonium in flower outside now,  have been covered in snow, I don’t think it will last though, I have taken several cuttings for next year’s tubs.

Good morning everyone.  Hope you’re not all frozen in your houses.

weve got a similar day to yesterday - brooding, overcast, about 30 c, and the occasional sprinkle which wouldn’t even wet your clothes. We keep hoping we will get a good drop, but maybe tonight.

The zucchinis and cucumbers that I transplanted into the garden on Boxing Day and which Ive been having a soaker hose going onto them each day, are standing up proudly and even have the beginnings of flowers on some of them. Such a relief when it’s reallybeen a bit hot for transplanting, but I was getting desperate.

Obelixx, I was thinking about what you said about the water situation. Are you permitted to collect rain water into large tanks where you live. It makes a big difference to your bill. We of course, have no choice - no town or village water here. There have been many stories over the years about visitors from the city living coming to visit and leaving the rural home owners without water because they dont  think about it.image

I was thinking about the poor TV programs at this time of year. We have saved up lots of “Home or Away” episodes from the UK and we like watching the antics of the potential buyers as well seeing Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Croatia, etc.

cant think what else you all said last night, so I’ll catch up later. Nearly time for the news.

    Morning all.

Well, on balance, good night for me.

If it wasn't for the gale force wind slamming rain against the window , I think I might even be asleep still.

I've just gone up and tied the polytunnel doors together and made a cuppa , which is going back to bed with me.

I've even managed to resurrect the fire in the woodburner after over 8 hours of neglect.

    Devon.
