I bought the first 3 HP books in one go when in London on a visit after seeing all the hype about no 3's release. Thought I'd better get it for Possum and check it out as she was a bit small then but I didn't want her missing a good thing. Read no 1 in one sitting till about 3am. OH liked it too tho he can read just one chapter at a time before falling asleep. Only reads at bedtime.
Watching the Half Blood Prince now. I really don't like Rupert Grint or Ron.
We've just had Yule log for pud. I last made a Swiss roll at school just over 50 years ago and decided then I didn't like Genoese sponge. It isn't improved by the presence of raspberries, whipped cream or even a thick Belgian chocolate ganache. It'll be 50 years before I make another.....
Well done with the exams LG.

Hi everyone and welcome back Dacha. Sorry your back is such s problem.
i gave my collection of HP books to my daughters friend who moved to a house on someone’s farm. They have no TV reception there. Besides, I prefer to read on my kindle now. No needs for bed lamps.
Wow , thank you all for the warm welcome back .....interesting to see so many HP fans....we have never read any of the books or seen any of the films maybe something to do for the New year ,my children are huge fans ! I love shopping trolleys......Zimmer frame with wheels.... and walking sticks....got a custom made one for Christmas .
How funny ....was just thinking of Michael Morpurgo earlier - another one of our favourite story tapes for the car. Once spent half an hour on our driveway listening to the end of Kensuke’s Kingdom ( all of us weeping). And now I read that he is being knighted. Do you think I am a tiny bit psychic ??
Some sort of magical power rubbed off from all that HP I expect Chicky
Never read any myself ... I suspect I'd have enjoyed the audio books on car journeys as I like Stephen Fry reading almost anything, but I tried watching the films on TV but they didn't hold my attention ...
Just snuggling down now ... good one Ringo
Sweet dreams all ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I remember when I was having my hip surgery in 2005 and one of the nurses had been in a queue outside a bookshop at midnight the night before to get the book as soon as it was released.
Hype I know, but hats off to JK Rowling for getting kids, and adults, so excited, they are prepared to queue at midnight to buy a book.

Either that or you're the Queen... is there something you want to tell us, Chicky?
