Morning. So sorry to hear Punk struggling again, Moira thank you for letting us know. It has been said many times just how much we care about him! You take care too, Joyce's words are sensible

has anyone seen Fairy? She has been away a while

Hosta this pain is ruining  your life, let's hope 2018 gets it sortef

Joyce, I loathe new year, stay warm.

Well we have survived.  Eldest granddaughter sick Christmas Eve, secone coughed incessantly, third has yelled a lot and is tugging his ear. Youngest is a petal but girning all day yesterday. Adults all coping. Grannie has served all meals with only one mishap.  Deep artic conditions meant everyone got a text yesterday to say flights cancelled

other half volunteering to drive everyone home in the 4x4. Not that he is desperate or anything!

i am lying in a darkened room hoping someone may bring me a coffe

  • oh dear LilyP ... children's bugs, weather problems ... twas ever thus at Christmas ... hope the littlies bounce back soon and that the weather improves quickly.

I heard from Fairy just before Christmas so all was ok then. Think that when she's not busy she's trying to rest her wrists.

We’ve woken up to a world unexpectedly white image

    image

And its still falling with a vengeance image  Hoping it will clear later as we are meant to be heading to London to watch Love Actually in an ice cave (image - as you do image).  Had a wonderful happy Christmas with lots of laughs, and everyone stayed healthy.  Commiserations and hugs to those who suffered.

Special thoughts for Pdoc - really hope he makes it home very soon.

And hope Hosta has no more episodes - scary stuff.

Planning to make the most of today, as back at work tomorrow (someone’s got to keep Aunty Rach company image) ....used up all my leave on our Aussie holiday, so working between Christmas and NY for the first time since I was about 21 image

  • Sons on the mend thanks but slowly ... He has a lot of work over New Year so hope he's up to it. We stayed with him Christmas Eve until Boxing Day morning then visited my brother on the way to spend some time with Wonky. She and her hubby wisely kept away from the flu. Wonky is back at work today ... No snow here but it's wet image

OH and I both have head colds but nothing like flu.

    Obelixx says:

Not botherng to go to bed yet as it's blowing up a storm out there with wind whistling and howling and hail smashing against the shutters and doors.  More rain expected tomorrow and gusts over 90kph.

    See original post
We had howling wind and rain too, but the noise and movement in the night for me was OH's tossing and snoring! He eventually settled down but slept until 10am (UK 9am).
Heard from son 2, two of his littlies had D and V on Christmas day.
We will be going to the SM soon, when OH gets up, to buy salmon for OH to make Gravlax, his speciality, to take to daughter 1 on Friday. We'll be giving her 3 boys their presents then.

Funny, why has it done all that in quotes? I went to Edit and it wasn't like that there. image
