Can you bend your arms in all that, Wonky?

Went into town, parking a nightmare, had to reverse out of one full carpark, only to find that the watch shop that sold Swatch don't have them anymore. They told me to go to the shopping centre where the biggest SM, Auchan, is, the other side of town. I was going there anyway as the carpet shop is there. Bought a watch for GS just in time before the big power cut. Had to look and carpets and vinyl bathroom flooring with a torch. Hope the ones I chose are OK. Back to Auchan for the weekly shop. Takes ages when it's an unfamiliar store and a huge hypermarket. It must have had its own generator.

Printer wouldn't work when I got home. Turned it on and off. Tried printing on OH's computer, turned out tiny. Turned my computer on and off and this evening it suddenly started working. It's a WiFi one.

Watched Masterchef and Love, Lies and Records.

Fidget the roads are all fine, I don't think you should worry however make sure your phone  is fully charged, you have water and a snack.  At least I think that is what they say!! If you are planning on going the new bridge check first!

Joyce traffic was queued for an hour and a half today getting thro the village. Hope you drying out! How is your daughter? Will you be together over the festive season  Our lot start arriving next Wed, then Thursday, then Saturday and finally Sunday. Chaos but fun

Anyone seen Fairy, I guess she is pretty busy this time of year.

Pat hope you better for a good sleep and got your lie in this morning

WW that is some list, how long does it take you to get dressed? Dove sounds like some rebranding of knitwear required.

Punk, if you looking in hope you have had another good day.  I read all the comments about donor cards last night. I think a lot of people don't realise the stress in the family whilst specialist teams are looking for matches. It can be a while before they get their lover ones to bury

Obelixx I wish I could sew, I had to take the hem of a curtain up with safety pins last week as just dont have time to hand sew just now

Hosta take care driving, hope you get your four weeks off!

I think I have caught up, sleep well and stay warm

LP, the village would have been totally congested and a detour takes so much  more time.

I have told my daughter not to drive up as her leg still has not healed up and is very painful.  She is "on call" for some of the holiday period so wouldn't be able to stay more than overnight.

I actually nodded off after I posted earlier. Woke up at 11 am.image

ive since been out and turned hoses on all the garden beds and come back in to my (so far) coolish house. I’ve got a fan which has a water reservoir and it pushes out a cool mist as the fan turns and oscillates. Just the ticket! image

    Sleep well all.

No cool mist fans needed here image  Glad to see Wonky is taking her winter wardrobe to new levels image

Went to the lantern festival/walk at Wakehurst last night - very twinkly.  Then went to a pub called the Gardeners Arms for a bite to eat.  I felt right at home image.  First pub I have ever been to that adorns the walls in its ladies’ loos with pictures of Chris Beardshaw, Monty and Diarmuid G imageimageimage

Didn’t have any gentlemen with us so couldn’t tell if Carol, Rachael and Christine were doing the honours next door image

    Morning all.

Dusting and putting up of some decorations today. I usually put greenery on the family room staircase but room will be painted next week. Maybe I'll do it anyway.
