"Making food to take with us tomorrow is interesting, involving me doing what I can, then calling on OH to stagger into the kitchen and chop things up for me.  image"

The pictures that gave me made me roar with laughter. I'm so sorry cos I know you're both in pain but the thought of you ...one standing, one chopping just made me giggle.

Good luck with that Hosta. Retail's a bi*ch. They'll have a clause somewhere... image

Organ donation is totally separate from "leaving to science". Leaving to science means you will go to a teaching hospital/university for dissection and examination and so on for students to learn.  Whatever you decide do a bit of research and tell everybody! image

    Enjoy your Thursday.

    Morning all.

Hope your finger is feeling better, Liri.

Hosta, they should be grateful you want your holiday in January. Most people would want the summer or spring and autumn school holidays.

Going to town for a watch for a grandson then other side of town to choose carpet for landing and flooring for bathroom.

Sunny here this morning and mild and a lot less blowy.  The magpies have been inspecting their ruined nest in the ash tree by our gates.  Happen they'll move on or build a better one.  Do magpies return to their nest?

OH is desperate to get the Xmas tree up and decorated and I am desperate to delay as long as I can.  if it goes up too soon I get bored with it by NY and the thing starts to droop and lose its baubles as gravity takes over.  With two young kitties and a pair of daffy dogs it's going to be interesting enough anyway.

Distracted him yesterday with sorting out tools and screws and such.  Today it's ironing and then a big clean.  Tomorrow shopping.   Any other ideas?

Hosta - hope your plan works.   Liri - how's the hand?  LP, Joyce, FG - sounds like you should stay put.   Hope you get your Xmas lunches OK Dove and GW.

Greetings all.   I'm off to look busy and do none Xmas tree stuff.  Not all bah humbug.  I have been making quite an array of felt decs for the tree - should be unbreakable! - and have started on some napkin rings.

LP, quite a bit of flooding at this end of A70 from Cumnock and cars are coming in from your end with thick snow on top.

Hope it's all clear for when your family are coming.

Not enough here to fill ours Joyce tho it has turned blustery and wet.

We've had a call to say our bathroom fittings for the new shower room will be delivered on Monday.  Very nice except that when we spoke 5 weeks ago I asked chappy to let me know in advance so we could plan to be here.  As it is, I have a full day out planned on Monday which leaves OH to check we get what we ordered..................

I like sage green but have no idea what a boyfriend cardi is either.
