We stayed put image. Will have a go tomorrow morning after the rush hour has passed.  Had a nice day - went for a lovely snowy walk this afternoon - there really is nothing like it.  Shame it causes so much disruption.

Soggy, windy day here but only an inch of rain recorded for all that.

Watched Blue Planet - outstanding - and the Jumbo elephant programme which was very sad - poor creature.

Relieved by Strictly results and now watching the Bletchley Park prog before heading for bed and a well earned sleep - I hope.

Busy - you've only just got home!   Hope your OH, and anyone else travelling, has a safe journey.

Get well soon all those with bugs and other ailments.

OH had to come back with me because he was singing in the choir, but some of the Ryanair tickets in winter are under £10. He has doctor's appt and he'll see his GCs at the weekend.

Never noticed a Bletchley Park prog, might have watched it.

    Sleep well Dove.

We’ve just seen footage of all the snow in the UK. People sliding down hills with big grins on their faces as well as people stuck in cars beside the road. It seems as though just when you get a big temperature change, we do as well. 29 predicted today. Not impressed with the sudden change. I like to build up to it.

I’m going into town today to join a group of U3A ladies who are learning to play Ukelele. I havent touched mine in many years and certainly don’t remember the chords, however, I decided it might be a new group of like- minded friends which I think I need. I’m a bit isolated here on the property. Could be fun! Wish me luck.

Pat that group sounds like fun, I hope you meet some new chums. Isolation can be a big problem for people who live in the country, even here!

510 am and I am wide awake, I leant over for my glass of water and promptly knocked the whole thing over, all of it, not a drop left in the gosss so you can imagine the mess.  Took me quite a while to soak it all up and if course now I am wide awake.

niwnwhat shall I do, there are the last Christmas cards to write, ironing to do at some point, the silver is filthy and must be done before Christmas, or I could just snuggle up here  with a book. It looks bitter out there.

I’d snuggle up Lilyp.  Leave the cutlery looking as though it is well used and well lovedimage

Home from my little ukulele session. Quite good fun. Met 5 new ladies. As  expected there is one bossy one but I can cope with that. she said that because I had my uke tuned differently to theirs. I wouldn’t be able to join in until it had been re-set. Isn’t “C” chord the same no matter how the thing is tuned? Just different fingering. Strange!!!   I’ve now tuned mine in to use the same fingering as them. They have ukes and mine is a banjo uke, so slightly different banjo-ee sort of sound.image They did like it though.

i might have to practice fingering the chords through the next week. image

And now I can’t get  Red River Valley out of my head. Darn it?!   I’ll have to listen to something else or it will keep repeating over and over in my head

You have to test two! Only testing one means it could have just been a fluke!
