I agree Hosta. Stay home, tucked up warm and safe and keeping your bugs to yourself.
Chicky - 2nd crack at the Xmas market and maybe a Balti?
Pat - I knew about ragwort but not St John's Wort. Never like it after having to dig one out of a bed it had invaded. The roots were compacted and soild and extended for metres. Dreadful stuff.
Blowing a minor hooly out there and 17.4mm of rain overnight. Still at it and set to stay all day. OH is off to see Wasps play La Rochelle this pm. Rather him and then than me. On the other hand, I get to do more furniture moving and contents shuffling.........

Woken up to a snow fall - so much for the forecast of "rain turning to sleet"! I can hear the children next door squealing with delight at the sight of a snowy garden.
I hope anyone in snowy or icy parts can stay warm and safe today.
Rain. Currently going upwards. mostly. Just dragged two out of three dogs out the door for 5 minutes (the third one absolutely refused to budge). That's it for fresh air and exercise today, I think.
Better get the hoover out

Our pair love the snow but are unlikely to get any here. Rasta terrier not so keen on rain cos it takes ages for her woolly coat to dry but Bonzo Labrador doesn't care. He just loves to go out and run. However he's a wuss about thunder and lightening and dives under the furniture. Same thing for power cuts - like just now. Dozy dog.
Cosmos' paw looks like it's healing at last so the gunpowder and twice daily dressings are finally working. He's been off the cortisone for a week now and is getting positively frisky
It's mild, slightly wet and rather windy so furniture moving continues, minus OH now as he's scarpered to watch the rubgy. The good bit is that my proper cooker is now connected and working. Just need a gas bottle for the hob now but I can make a Christmas cake now and pavlova.
We do seem to have a lot of wine glasses and champagne flutes and cocktail glasses.... Better plan a party! OH is happy cos his Belgian beer glasses are on display again and I'm happy cos they're in the annex
Hoovering for me too now, except with the Miele - not the bloody Dyson.
Stay safe and warm and dry.

Hmmm ... still nothing much more exciting than wet sleet here in mid Norfolk ... teenage niece in South Lincs is very excited and Wonky has lots of it ... the AA say travel in her area is very slow due to snow and accidents and her road to work tomorrow is blocked ... by what the AA map doesn't say ...

Hosta, not wise to go into work like that
Morning all and Hi Pat.
Having a cuppa then back to bed for a while.
Not sure I’d like to swap, but not enjoying the sudden heat either.

Hello all
Think we've got the 'rain turning to sleet' although nothing much at the moment ...
Hosta ... if you must work wrap up warm and suck some Jakemans eucalyptus lozenges ... I blame air travel
Chicky ... very wise... stay safe where you are ...
