We’re ok Pat - staying in Port Fairy tonight (how could we not ??♀️??♀️??♀️). Have had hardly any rain all day, and the Great Ocean Road was stunning
Seems from the news that Melbourne is getting pretty soggy though - back there tomorrow night, so we shall see.
Fab bike Hosta - would be great to put it through its paces somewhere special . Hope you’re enjoying your bday - is there cake ? ?
I could‘nt choose 8 tracks, music has always been a big part of my life, I like everything except modern jaz, but even then I do like a bit of Dave Brubeck.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
I’m glad you enjoyed the road Chicky and that you’re both ok. It’s rather memorable isnt it. Take care on the trip back to Melbourne. We’ve got steady rain here but expecting the big whack tomorrow.
chicky - it's the best port in the world - didn't you know?
Those wee 'thingies' don't come out on my laptop - are they fairies? Gorgeous photo - glad you're clearly having such a great time
doc - I don't know if you've seen it, but there's a lovely clip of Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and Dhani Harrison, and a few others, doing While My Guitar Gently Weeps as a George Harrison tribute with an incredible perforance by Prince. It's pretty fab.
I hate motorbikes, and they're the bane of people's lives on that Loch Lomond road, but even I have to admit to looking admiringly at the bloke who went past me on a Harley one day recently. He was very cool
It's got to the dizzy heights of 4 degrees here - woo hoo. Cloud is coming and bringing something with it. Hopefully the garden will thaw out soon and I can get some bark down. Had to use a large rock to break the ice this morning on the pond. I'll need to look out the polystyrene thing I created to keep a section clear.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I change channel if Neil Young comes on the radio. Can't bear that thin, reedy, whiny voice. I think Bob Dylan songs are best sung by someone else too. No way I could whittle things down to just 8 songs or tunes
A fiddly but successful day so far - fresh vieille and maigre fish from the market, properly scaled and cleaned and also filleted for the latter. Stupid SM fish stall fillets fish without scaling! Thence to the fabric shop for curtain doings and then LIDL of all places for a Nordman Xmas tree and finally a pharmacy for more paw cleaning materials for Cosmos.
We had thought it was healing nicely and growing new skin but here's clearly something wrong deep inside and it's all gone bad again so he's booked in for an op to remove the paw pad on Monday, poor mite. He's eating well and is sociable and cuddly but not his usual playful self; Minstrel, meanwhile, is making up for that by being very giddy and playful and teasing the dogs.
OH hates motorbikes too cos they're hard to spot and weave about unpredictably in traffic. I used to ride a little one when I'd visit my dad in Zambia during school hols. Great on long roads and in sunshine so loved it and wanted one but you have to wear so much safety gear it takes all the fun away.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

It is great fairy.
Prince was an amazing guitarist, as well as all his other talents.

Hey everyone! Just in from work so catching up on all essential jobs, of which this is one.
"Can't believe it's December" (sorry if you've heard that fifty times today!).
Going to a floristry Christmas workshop tomorrow. The email says "wear Christmas jumpers" - not sure about that!?! ?
Oh, Desert Island Disc list... I'm far too indecisive for that, plus it might be a bit too rocky and raucous for Radio 4!
Have a great evening all.
