    Just glad we're not turkeys.

  • Morning folks image  We slept in!!! image  Looked outside and there's a yellow OFO bike on the pavement outside. ( you can use them and leave them anywhere in the city and pay via an app)   They're new here - first time I've seen one.

Ob; I really like the idea of medical science using my body. What if it meant they were able to pioneer a new way of repairing spinal injuries enabling a new generation of treatment to help treat if not cure some of the worse effects. Or even if it meant a trembling student surgeon got to grips with their confidence clasping a sharp knife so they didn't muck it up on a living being!

    Morning all.

Lots of weekend cyclists round here LP. Often cycling four abreast resulting in a build up of traffic.

We've had a frost!!  Bright and sunny now but still frosty in the shade of the house.   Chappy is back again clearing the pond.  It looks eeeenormoussss.

I shall have to go out and play with pots and check the new treasures acquired at the plant swap.  These include some bare-rooted stuff including a pink flowered acacia that will be in need of TLC because I left it in a bucket of water to rehydrate the roots and then disappeared all day yesterday.  Oops.

OH is busy with our log burner.  The glass cracked last night so he's taken it all out and is measuring and cleaning but with the bloody Dyson so that's had to come apart too.   Stupid design.

Lots of cyclists here too - in summer it tends to be families out on jaunts but the rest of the year it's the cycle clubs out in their club kit and in groups either training or doing races.   Nightmare to pass on narrow lanes and they don't give way easily.

Exactly Clari - don't want to take up space in a coffin in a graveyard full of indispensable people.  Rather be useful.

Greetings everyone.  Hope it's a good day for you.

Good morning , back of Hols from Belguim , hope all’s well , to much to back image

  • The OFO bike has gone.  I presume whoever left it (at the foot of The Rise) last night has now walked back down the hill and is now riding it back to work or Uni.  Apparently Norwich is only the fourth place in the UK to have OFO bikes ... I presume it's because everyone thinks Norwich is flat (it isn't ... it's actually quite hilly ... terminal moraine and all that) and because Norwich City Council has spent/is still spending an absolute fortune on cycle paths ... many of which don't work as planned as the planners didn't realise that trees have roots
