Clari ... now we know where you caught your cold ... all that socialising
Chicky ... glad you're having a lovely time ... gorgeous photos!
No frost here, but blue skies, sunshine and still quite chilly ... quite windy too ... a couple of blackbirds are stripping the berries from the tall variegated holly across the road and another is splashing in the birdbath in the back garden
OH is at work and Father Christmas is arriving at the GC today so it will be total chaos in the car part ... I did my shopping yesterday. After today OH will be at home for ten days as he had some A/L to use up ... he's said he'll do some odd jobs inside and out so a list will be made

Punkdoc, I'd far rather hear from you than not. And frankly, I'd be a mess (at least for a while) in your situation, so express your worries and be distracted by our nonsense. Your post was not in the least inappropriate. Keep talking.
Got the garlic. I had a choice of Cristo, Cristo or Cristo. So I decided to get some Cristo ('French garlic, strong flavour, very white skin' - sounds good to me). It's a softneck variety, thanks for the tip Pat.
One show down (last night), two more today (afternoon and evening - different shows, two organisations). Then just Monday night, Wednesday night and next Saturday, with normal school days and homework squeezed in between. Younger daughter already overtired... we should hopefully hear the results of that audition for older daughter this week.
Congratulations on the rainfall, Pat. And hope Wonky and Clari feel better. Don't forget the zinc! Echinacea seems to work for me, but I know there's not much study done yet.
Forgot to post birthday card for uncle who turns 87 tomorrow so am off on a longish bus journey to hand deliver it while the kids are at rehearsals. Arrivederci.

Hurrah! GW magazine and calendar has arrived Interesting article by Carol Klein on why plants' names get changed ... methinks someone's been reading the forum .... I knew we had our uses

Slept in this morning and then a lazy morning snuggling both pussies and a dog whilst reading and drinking coffee. Time to get moving now so some h****work and then garden. Nothing too strenuous as we have dancing this evening and need to practice our salsa before we go.
LG - how many concerts? Seems a lot to pack in with exams as well as Xmas! My garlic is Germidour, described as violet but nothing about necks. 6 bulbs in a pack. That should keep us going.
Agree about zinc and echinacea but also vitamin D. And magnesium for sleep and muscles.
Hope all sniffles and coughs are easing. Pdoc - stay strong but have a moan or a rant when you need it. Be kind to OH who will be as worried as you are. Hugs to both.
Chicky - lovely pics. Glad you're enjoying it all.
Pat - good for you. Still no sign of rain here. Wall to wall sunshine.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Mine has just landed with a loud thud on the doormat will have a look later as I need to rake some leaves before the rain comes.
I don't want to keep going over old ground but having only just read back yesterdays posts- I agree these health issues are so individual, which is why being a medic must be so tricky. There are those that seem to get away with anything & others that fall foul despite trying to do all the right things. In the end we can only go with what we have & make the best of it while we are able.
Posts
