I'm still learning DL. Eastern France also has different charcuterie and cheeses form the west. The Vendée is known for its brioche, gâche (brioche made with cream), ham, sea salts...... For some UK friends I always take liqueur de framboise to liven up their fizz or white wine because they prefer it to cassis. From Belgium it was always local beer and proper chocs.
Best to look around and see what they have that you can't get at home.
Watching Blue Planet at the mo before we watch SCD results. Aren't turtles and dolphins just wonderful? Don't fancy that carnivorous worm tho.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I could watch blue planet on a loop. I love the colour changes on octopi and cuttle fish. I think flamboyant cuttle fish are the best for colour changes.
and been bitten by those cute looking anemone fish. Not so cute and cuddly when they have eggs. I saw a squid laying eggs this time. Every time we go we see something new, and loads of plastic rubbish.
Home at 8 last night ( 12 hour day ) so Blue Planet recorded. Had a bath and a yummy lasagne and watched Howards End then bed. Very broken sleep and now wide awake
The 11am silence was impeccably observed in store yesterday. Everyone just stopped mid shop, mid checkout and stood . One of the managers stood inside the door to inform folk as they entered, just one "old boy" who removed his had and held it to his chest. Very moving.
I didn't get wet on deliveries, but feck was it cold. Bitter wind and it got down to 6C but had raised to 8C by 8pm. I need my holiday.
Why did I agree to go out this afternoon? I'll pop down to store and have a look at my route later. Forewarned is forearmed eh?
Dove: OH is a better man than I. If the owners can't be *rsed to turn up at their own shop, I'd not have done so. " Sorry officer, I had a beer last night so can't drive" would have done the trick.
I can't remember when I was logged on long enough to actually read more than a few lines.
OH has been ill all week with general run down and sniffles, I met my "new" boss (stand in until they employ someone else) which makes this... eight I've had since May? Still no further forward but truth be told I'm beyond caring.
I've been at the grandparents all weekend; they took me to a talk from the British Plant Gall Society - only went and managed to find some the next day! I shall be filling the forum with fun facts no doubt.
Oh and I had to give a presentation at the kind of ball where they think it "fun" to throw £600 into the auction for a giant teddy bear. The money they spent (admittedly probably work type tax relief) was scary. They were fundraising for the charity I work for. It was noted that I could only afford to water!!

Plastic pollution is now a major problem
