We saw an interesting show on TV today. It was Chris Bearshaw at Nymans and a long story about the family who started it. Very enjoyable.

We get a fish van outside the local supermarket twice a week but I only use that supermarket if I run out and prefer to get my fish from the covered market at Les Sables d'Olonne.   In theory, we will become self-sufficient for most fruit and veg.   Can't be doing with French literature even if there were a mobile library passing.

    Morning all.

Dry and blue sky here too LP.  Think Dove is now having the weather we had.

We used to have a fish van weekly from Arbroath as well as a local one but no longer.  We do have an excellent fish shop in town.

Obelixx, I have one of those shutters on the back door for security purposes and, in the summer, I use it to let air into the kitchen without flies coming in when the back door is open..

Must be catching.  Harry is "having a rest" while we wait for new brake pads.  Possum and I have been hearing a noise since early July but OH, having limited hearing range (being kind about his cloth ears) only heard it a couple of weeks ago when it was a roaring grind.  Doh!

Just tried to log on here and got a "back end" error.  Car problems or a hint to get back on the diet wagon?

It's very warm and sunny here. I have supervised  the annual Yew hedge trim and can hear hedge trimmers a-plenty buzzing away on the street.

Hope everyone having a productive day.
