I have been too. My body clock is way off, having spent 13 hours on a plane from Singapore yesterday. image

We have had three weeks in North Sulawesi (Lembeh straits) muck diving, followed by three days in Singapore on the way back, wandering around the new Gardens of the Bay, and two greenhouses where it is colder inside than outside. image

Rhododendrons, and Magnolias in flower in one, and orchids in a cloud forest with a huge waterfall in the other.  Six hours of underwater video to edit, thousands of photos to sort. The grass seems to be long enough to lose the neighbours cat in. I haven't been up the garden yet to see if the polytunnel is still there. At 11pm last night I was chucking stuff out of suitcases on the front doorstep, trying to find the house keys which were not in the jacket I had thought they were in. image

    Hi all.

How does anyone ever sleep in these places, no wonder everyone is ill?

I am with Dove on the food choices.

You know that's the biggest topic of conversation I have with patients when I go visiting! How are you doing PDoc? Do shout if you need anything; we're never a million miles away.

I hope everyone is well, or at least warm and comfortable and contended.

Work is... making me consider going for the 1950s housewife role, the grandparents are making progress and we have a plan of action lined up for them to trickle feed help in, the house is still not finished (will it ever be?), and yesterday saw all the things I brought with my birthday money several years ago for chickens loaded in the trailer and sent to the outlaws. So I guess I won't have to nag my partner about that run he promised to make for me OVER THREE YEARS AGO.

Good luck to everyone with animals and family who are scared by fireworks; it's going to be a restless few weeks.

Morning all. Welcome back Fidget, sounds as though you had a fabulous time. Looking forward to photos.

Hope the physio is gentle with you, Dove. When I was a nurse we called them the SS. I hope you've left and don't read this until you get back!

Morning all.  Glad you found the door keys, Fidget!  Sounds a fab holiday.  Hope the body clock returns to normal soon.

Clari, sorry your chicken project has come to nothing.  You're a very tolerant woman...

Does anyone have any suggestions for presents (Christmas & birthday, distressingly close together) for a young mum?  I'd normally buy my DIL some really interesting knitting wool for a project, or an absorbing book, but with a month-old child at Christmas her time is likely to be limited for such things... I'm hovering around a) chocolate; she likes it a lot and you can eat it while feeding a baby - and b) something indulgent for the bath.  Bit lacking in inspiration really...

I'm just making some stock.  OH can only consume "clear fluids" for today, followed by some revolting drink to clear out his innards.  Then nothing until after his gastroscopy/colonoscopy tomorrow lunchtime.  He's not a happy bunny...  image  ...but at least he can have "strained clear soup" today, if I make some.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
