Hi everyone. Clear sky again. Certainly no sprinkles. Hubby has extended the irrigation system to cover some more young trees that are struggling. Luckily, our bore doesn’t seem to have suffered, so he was able to fill the garden water tanks again today. We try not to use it excessively, unlike some in the village we could name who seem to leave sprinklers going all hours.
Hope all are ok.
Im really sorry that we‘ve lost Tom Petty. I always like his music.
Your daughter's cellulitis sounds very unpleasant, Joyce. Hope she soon makes a full recovery.
Pat, everyone's weather seems to be becoming less predictable and more extreme. It's good you've got a bore hole for water as well as your dams - but modern life seems to expect a constant, endless supply of water on tap. Young people seem less & less able to cope with the restrictions we have to impose at our cottage now. In my youth we didn't expect daily showers, and washed the clothes once a week...
Lily P, a sack barrow is really useful for moving heavy things cos you don't have to lift them - just manoeuvre them on to the horizontal plate at the bottom of the sack barrow, then tip it and you're away... It's like an old-fashioned railway porter's barrow, but a lot lighter.
Not surprised you're excited, Chicky... 38 sleeps will soon pass. It's great your dad is doing so well, too.
We need an early lunch today. The U3A natural history group are looking at fungi this afternoon... need to collect an interesting one I found in the garden, to have it identified.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Right, surprise, surprise, my shift has been altered. I'm now driving this afternoon which has meant I've had to phone Mr Sack trolley to re-schedule. He's happy enough. Unlike Hubby who is moaning about yet another late dinner. oops.
