Oh Dacha, that made me smile image  Although not sure I’d fancy sharing my boat with a bear .....did anyone read Life of Pi?  Great book (never saw the film, but the book was excellent).  Going to make my upcoming dose of Autumnwatch seem quite tame .....but I do love learning about the wildlife that is all around us here.  Delighted to see the hedgehog/ badger encounter last night, made me hopeful for hogs here one day after all - there are loads of untidy woodpiles just waiting for them to move in ???

We're both going on holiday, but , to keep the pharmacist's records straight, (viz anti malarial sales,) we had say Hubby x 2 hols, me x 1 holiday.

Truth is I'll be using the leftover pills from January when we're away next month. The powers that be just won't know .

    Devon.

Chicky - saw the film but haven't read the book.  Enjoyed it very much.

DL - Love bears, even the big fierce ones, but especially the playful, cuddly cubs and protective mums.   Used to love that song and performance but it does seem painfully slow these days.

It's 11pm and I had tomorrow all mapped out but OH has just reminded me we're going to Niort tomorrow for some event to do with insurance and pensions...................   Bad timing!

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Finally emerging from two weeks of gr*t and sn*t . A word of comfort to those still in the throes - it ends. You will be able to smell the roses -  and might even fancy eating proper food. You will probably find the h#######k is still there and the weeds have taken advantage.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
