Good morning. Cool and grey here but not wet tho there's been a sprinkle in the night.
I think the mean have put the window too central and there won't be room for the shower which will run along the back wall with the cupboard for the hot water tank forming part of one of its walls. Need to get that checked and maybe fixed before they go any further.
As for planting plans, we are supposed, in a normal year, to get decent amounts of rain and less of the scorchio we had in May and June - http://www.holiday-weather.com/vendee/averages/ 75 cms or so of rain a year. We've had about 25 since mid Jan. The area behind the shower room has been graveled and is solid clay underneath so we always thought it would end up as a dry garden with Beth Chatto style planting after working the soil up.
AR - I had a whole collection of bone china tea cups and saucers, some with plates, Some of our older UK guests liked them for their cuppas and breakfasts and I did occasional tea parties for gardening friends. I kept a few specials but prefer a bone china mug myself for my coffees. Don't do tea.
Spot of cleaning this morning, then baking a chocolate beetroot cake for new gardening friends this pm and then lifting hostas till it's time to scrub up and get presentable.
I hope the storms forecast don't do you a damage this weekend.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Just got out of the shower and discovered that while I've been in the bathroom the heavens have opened and it's tipping down out there! Anyone want some... ?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sure is Joyce, but d'you know what?( he says in an Adam Frost stylee) I'm still tired. I could easily have gone back to sleep after Hubby said goodbye.
Our hard disc TV recorder has packed up, been on the blink for a bit. Going out to buy a new one, but there was stuff that I hadn't yet watched on the old one
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning all.
In bed just after 10, Hubby brought me a cuppa at some point after he got up, then woke me at 8.45 to say he was off to work!!!!
Gales and torrential rain overnight but dry now and even bits of blue sky. Calm before tomorrow's storm.
That must be a record for you Hosta
