    Morning all. We’ve got another cloudless day. Cool start but warm out in the sun. 

    I forgot that today was a public holiday, so it was a bit deserted in town. It’s called a Labour Day, but when I was a kid it was called 8 hour day. The first Monday in October.

     OH is very protective of the new blinds and windowsill. He thinks I'll spill water or leave marks on them if I put anything down.

    what a night! Joyce I think the wind had gained strength by the time it got up the valley to us.Wild!  It's horrible out there and this is the first day of my helper in the garden!

    Clari can you not use drip trays under the plants?

    Hosta drive carefully, we have a lot of wet fallen leaves too folks forget they are slippy

    We don't have your beautiful blue sky here, Pat... fairly uniform grey this morning, and steady drizzle.  Seems a good opportunity for a trip into Halifax to buy a few things needed for next month's visit to the cottage.  image
