The fungus meeting was fascinating. We had limited success positively identifying a lot of the specimens we'd brought in, using lots of different books and lots of accumulated experience. I don't think I'll be eating any fungi I haven't bought from a shop, though...
These are the two I took in from the garden. We didn't manage a definitive ID of either.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hope you're asleep now Hosta, but yes I did ... Some of those 'winter bedding' cyclamen for a tub on the front porch, some pretty violas to go by the back door, and some crocus, narcissi and bedding hyacinths for pots and tubs. I'll let u know the varieties later ... I'm still in bed atm.
So ... Good morning all including you and Reggie, Clari

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Tucked up in bed with a cuppa sounds good Clari, but no chance of that here
I've resisted the temptation to buy any more plants, or bulbs Dove...it's very difficult though. I need furniture and lights etc for my bedroom though....
That fungus on the right is really pretty Liri, or am I weird?
It's calmed down a bit here LP. Hope you don't have any damage - we haven't had any here. Think the night before was wilder, and certainly the night before that. Chilly and wet during the day, but pretty normal for the time of year I suppose. At least most of the foliage is still on the trees so we can enjoy the colour for a bit longer. Next lot might strip it all off!
Wonder if Hosta got back to sleep....
Better shift soon. Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I've just found these; a play on the whole image of us being tea orientated might be in order!
Those are fun, Clari.

Congrats on your weight loss, BL. I really must try harder!
Dove, did you get yourself a wee treat at the the GC?
Morning all. Laying in bed, the hound snoring by my side, mug of tea to hand. Bliss.

Liri - re the fungus on the right - have a look at Ramaria stricta , the Upright Coral fungus.
A winter pot thread would be nice
