Morning Joyce image Hope you've got your hatches battened up there! We've got a covering of high cloud and a bit of a breeze but nothing more than that. We've still got the very light summer duvet on the bed and OH has just started thinking about putting the heating on ... He's thinner skinned than I am image

Morning Dove.image It's still mild here, heating only on in the evening for a couple of hours.

Some bulbs have been planted into pots and waiting for two bulb orders to arrive.

    Morning all.

I did fall asleep unitl one of the nuisance numbers called and woke me at 8.15. grrr

The underfloor heating has been on here for about 4 weeks now.

We NEVER remove the winter duvet.

I'm off now until Sunday . 5 overtime shifts in a fortnight. Don't anyone dare mention " flexibility" to me again.

To-day, I WILL BE CUTTING THE GRASS. It might take me all day, and it might be a bit muddy in places, but I must cut it.

    Devon.

Joyce, I went down that road last year and it was so long by the time I was able to cut it in Spring, it took me about 2 months to get it back down to the desired height.

I'm determined to keep it short when I can.

    Good morning all.

Fairy, I agree - it's a very pretty fungus.  It's growing in clumps under the blueberry bushes.  image

I think you're spot on with the ID, Dove.  There are lots of different Coral fungi - someone else brought in a bright yellow one - but that looks the most likely.  Thank you!

The other toadstools are from the lawn.  I have to try to pull them up before mowing or they spread a mush across the grass.  (Which reminds me:  best wishes to Hosta for his marathon mowing session!)

Mild, misty and wet here.  I feel like hibernating, but need to get round to the rented house and find out why the tenant has no hot water...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

OK folks ... here's the haul of bulbs from the GC yesterday :image

    10 N. Actaea

5 N. Tete de luxe (horrid name) described as a selected double Tete a Tete

8 N. Sailboat (described as a pale scented fragrant and multi-headed species narcissus)

    20 Crocus Blue Pearl

    50 Crocus Cream Beauty

    10 Hyacinth Woodstock

plus bedding cyclamen and violas as already mentioned.

They should keep me occupied.  Better head up the road after tennis to get some MPC for the tubs and pots.
