    Morning Peeps

Glad that you have got to the bottom of Possum’s worries Obxx - hopefully your upcoming mini break will give her some breathing space and help her keep on top of things.  Don’t care what anyone says about the feckless yoof of today......they seem to have more stresses to deal with than I ever rememberimage

Watched Bakeoff and Autumnwatch ?? last night - can’t remember last time I watched 2 hours of telly in one evening image......and enjoyed it all image

  • Morning. image

My friend from England brought me wallflowers over, she is a force to be reckoned with image. Customs were clearly put in there place when they tried to take them off her at the airport, in fact one of them was instructed to go and buy some and told how to grow them image. Finally managed to close tearoom at 7:15pm the last lot that tried to get in (past closed gate and 'we are shut' sign) had to be content with takeaway cakes and promised to come earlier next time. image

So, we managed to get out for a lovely meal in a local restaurant, my 1st choice restaurant have closed up for the holidays ( so many do ??) but 2nd choice was good. My French friend (Val) had andouillette much to our disgust, but at least it didn't smell like they can sometimes. She thought it was marvellous. image

Charlie & Val went Geo-caching yesterday in a local chateau, had a super time, walked 4 kms doing it across hill and dale, unfortunately poor Val just had 'normal' shoes on, not realising before what was ahead, so pretty sore feet and mucky shoes on return. image

Ok, off to make apple  cinnamin cake now and pork, cider & apple pie for lunch with produce from autumn fair. Pics below, our house in the background.

Have a good day all, cynics and grumpy old men too. imageimageimageimage

Lovely to hear all everyone’s doings.image

Our three litters of Skinks are obviously getting along ok together. They were all staring at the door a while ago. Of course I just had to oblige and chop up their daily helping of carrots. One of the older ones spent the afternoon basking on a sunny rock with his Father. Haven’t seen Mum today, but no doubt she’s not far away.

I'm thinking apple cinnamon cake sounds like something I might like. image I have a huge glut of apples from garden guy and I dealt with the cookers but the (very sharp) eaters need some loving if anyone has any good ideas.

    Enjoy your Wednesday.

    Morning all.

Dove, have you really eaten true French andouillettes? They are disgusting, made with pork and intestines and usually smell of what you do in the loo. Ugh! None of my French friends or French children in law likes them.

Daughter 2 is coming tomorrow, with her 2 children. We are going to try to load her mare into the trailer, after lunch, to take to a horsey place to be trained. A friend of mine is coming to help.

Trip to the SM this morning for food for them all.
