Like the Autumn decorations Clari. You could do a different theme each season.

I'm a bit miffed that nearly all plants have had to be removed from my kitchen/family room since the kittens have taken up residence. I always had about four or five pot plants dotted about and a vase of flowers on the table but not any more. It is a bit of a shame because I have excellent sunny daylight in that room but hey ho - the kittens are worth it.

Hope everyone doing ok? Early night for me, although will probably watch something on IPad - maybe the Simon Reeve on Russia programme.

Just back from another rehearsal.  It's only a small group but we have a lot of fun (and consume a fair number of biscuits in the course of the evening...  image)  We're trying to get a programme of music together for early December, when we're booked for part of a concert.  image

    Pretty leaves, Clari!

Reggie sounds a bit like my cat.  She likes to accompany me to the loo, as well as insisting on sleeping in the curve behind my knees for the first part of the night, and as close to my nose as possible from 4am onwards...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Auntie Rach, I had the same problem with my cats and houseplants.  The only one I've been able to keep is the sansevieria (that looks wrong!) cos I know it's not harmful if chewed...

    Nice bright colours Clari.

Daughter got home from hospital this evening having been in hospital for two weeks with an infection cellulitis but will be off work for a number of weeks.  She is having to use a zimmer and isn't nearly 27!

Oh Joyce cellulitis is a horrible thing. I am so glad they saw it early And she is making a good recovery. Was it a bite?

My oh is prone to it,  best wishes to her

    Clari I love those leaves!

I got two orchids,  two spikes on each loads of heads to open for £15 today! It would have been rude not to take them.

Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.”

Joyce, hope your daughter’s legs recover soon. Very nasty.

when I woke this morning, I thought we must have cloud outside, but it’s fog. No doubt it will lift before long. Ever hopeful of Rain. When I added up the rain record for September that I keep, I realised that we only had 2 mm for the whole month. No wonder the whole place is looking so parched.

Oh Joyce two weeks?? She must be so glad to be home. I hope she's comfortable and recovers well.

Chicky; hope your dad has plenty of good progress for you to see.

Big hugs to everyone else struggling today. We didn't get the best of nights sleep although at least we didn't need 03:00 trips around the garden. Fortunately the fabulous new office is situated in a Church which has a coffee shop and most enjoyable hot chocolate available (I can't stand coffee and sometimes tea just isn't enough).

I've had to get my summer dresses back out as the office is so warm, I'm talking proper toasty hot warm. But now I need to find a thick long coat for the bit between car and office.

    Morning all.

Another shift change. To-day I'm driving in the morning and in store this afternoon. Much better as it's a lovely morning and I'll not be finishing work in the dark.

I'm off to collect a sack trolley after work which I've just got via freecycle. Much needed for moving big pots of  evergreen agapanthus into the tunnel shortly.

    Devon.
