Thank you for the soup clarifying tips!  OH professed himself to be starving, so I lined the flour sieve with kitchen paper & let the stock drip through.  It looks less cloudy... and he says it doesn't taste of paper, which is a win.  image  If he wants some more I'll try Lizzie's egg white trick.

Pat!  That sketch sounds just his cup of tea... I'll get him to watch it later.  Thanks.

The problem is, GWRS, OH isn't allowed any "bits" until after his colonoscopy tomorrow lunchtime.  I think he'll be starving, poor dear!

Ob: they seem keen. We're going down next weekend to help them build it up. They'll not be getting hens til next year now I imagine as it's not really the season. We'll just have to see.

They've offered to replace it when we're ready so I might eventually get hens. I think if I buy another I'll buy one with the run built in. ;)

Sounds good, Clari.  At least you've not had to give up hope of having chickens eventually.  image

Ever the optimist. I can hope; whether it happens it another matter. Unfortunately I don't earn enough to just turn up with everything one weekend.
