Hope you will forgive me if this sounds terribly self pitying, but it is how i am feeling and I think it might be helpful to me.
I am still at home and am only going to be going in for further tests and to optimise treatment.
The good news, is that they have found at least 500 things I don't have.
The bad news, I am sure you can imagine.
It is almost certainly Viral myocarditis of unknown origin.
It may start to improve, but it may not.
At the moment I am as weak as a kitten and walking worse than my 90 year old Mum, out of breath after about 50 yards.
If it gets better, I could return to normal, the alternative is probably fairly obvious, but I can't quite bring myself to speak it out loud.
I shall hopefully be on here, talking nonsence as usual, but I hope you will understand, that I am struggling to cope with all of this and may disappear for a time.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Well, as you say ... at least you know what you don't have
As with poorly plants, you need optimum conditions in order to get stronger and fight the bug so don't tire yourself out by trying to do too much. I trialled sitting on the sofa with a laptop, radio/tv and knitting for an age for you earlier in the year and it is bearable ... just At least you can get up and make yourself a cuppa which I couldn't for a couple of weeks at least. I know it's going to take time but our fingers are all very crossed ... it's a good job it's not the time of year when we've got a lot of pricking out to do.
Noodle on here with us when you feel like it ... share your knowledge and experience, likes and dislikes and witter and winge as much as you like to us ... we can cope with it ... our shoulders are broad from all that digging and pushing of wheelbarrows... it'll be better than long silences from you which will frighten us silly
((huge hugs)) for Mrs Pdoc too.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Pdoc, For those like us that are used to be so active being laid low always comes extra hard. When things are more stable I really think you should try Yoga. The controlled breathing with help enormously and help strengthen the Heart without causing stress.
Another hug to add to your collection from me Punkdoc. It must be hard to digest at present, when your symptoms are acute and difficult so hang on to the positives - like being good enough to be at home.
Punkdoc, they say ignorance is bliss. The worst is that being “ in the trade”, your mind will be doing all sorts of scenarios. My very best wishes for some better news/progress in the near future.
Pdoc, chin up. My daughter had viral pericarditis earlier this year, not helped with her having SLE.
She is now breathless on exertion only but as she is using a zimmer (due to having infective cellulitis) there is little in the way of exertion just now!
Punk sorry you feel lousy, as others have said we are all here for you whenever you want to throw a hissy fit or just blether,
some else has also talked about breathing techniques taught from yoga (have done yoga for 45 years) but there are many other methods When you feel better have a google.
Clari.....what the heck?! Give them a salad!
family off to airport, house so quiet but plenty to tidy up, how is it so many towels get used??

Lily; they don't eat salad! Or vegetables! I fortunately spotted my neighbour in Tesco and their young child currently lives off chicken nuggets and chips so they were able to point me in the right direction as to fussy foods for 33 year olds.
As it happens it looks like they won't be coming now as there's car trouble.
But for your towels; there's only two of us (and the dog) yet I wash 9 towels a week. We must be so squeaky clean!!

Oh Punk! Get it all out; it's not self pity at all. There is something very beneficial about seeing it in text format.
