Don't think you've posted that one Sheps. They really are lovely birds. We rarely get them as far west as this, although we did get some one winter [1994 - just after my first child was born] when it was very cold, and they were a bit short of food everywhere. There was a little flock of them neqarby for a few days, feasting on rowans etc  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Is this hog poo, do you think? I'm not sure what else it could be. I saw it today in my area. Not near water.

  • I forgot to snap a picture, only got a short video. A deer outside my bedroom window a couple weeks ago.

A couple from the feeders this aft...juvenile Greenfinch and Goldfinch.

  • Sheps we do love your clear photos, they are brilliant, and the subjects are always of great interest to us.  We have a new visitor to our bird feeders, not noticed any in our garden before, and we feel privileged to have him here.  Do they only eat sunflower hearts - this one has been coming for the past few days, and always to this particular feeder. Does anyone have a picture of the female bullfinch - it would be good to know what we are looking for.
