    Another beauty @Sheps
I once drove along a country road with a barn owl flying alongside me about 4m away, immediately beside me,  at eye level. We were alongside for a few hundred metres I was torn between watching the road and the bird.
    Devon.

    Thanks very much, Hosta  :)
  • Don't know whether this qualifies but it is a banquet for the blackbirds a pyracantha bush dripping with berries.

Lovely pic cornelly. I have a couple that look like that too. Mine are Orange Glow, and they genuinely 'glow'  :)
I had a similar experience to Hosta with a couple of mallards flying beside me. Only problem was - I was on the Loch Lomond road, and you really can't drive for too long on it without watching the road..... :D
I'm slightly concerned looking at this thread today though, as Scroggin has disappeared. :(
    Does anyone know why?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • That's a real shame...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

@Fairygirl, Scroggin has gone from Pets thread too.
    SW Scotland
  • I wonder what happened. I love @scroggin's Floss pictures.  :'(

I realised yesterday when I went into my PMs because I was going to message someone about some cuttings I was doing for them. I noticed his messages to me had all gone so I looked in here as I knew it was a thread he'd been on recently.
I've often been in contact with him by PM as we have the common interest of hillwalking, but I don't have an email address for him or anything.  :(
I hope he's all right. I'm not aware of any 'contentious threads' that he might have commented on either. He's always very unbiased anyway, so it seems unlikely.
