Interesting use of the word 'consort'. The rest was deleted from the memory banks . More interesting to me was how the accent on a word changes the meanning.
We mere mortals find interest where we can
    In London. Keen but lazy.

This is one of the UK's largest hoverflies, Myathropa florea which becomes more obvious when you know that the flower is a Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum x superbum) which is about 4 inches across:

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Well-spotted, @BobTheGardener !
Excellent pics of butterflies, lovely flowery backgrounds too, @Jilbert
Great shot, @Treeface . Anyone knows what species it is?

I'm afraid all I could get in the way of insects lately is this common Cabbage White sitting, not on a cabbage but on my lovely Clematis heracleifolia.
