these insects just don't look real, I have never seen a ladybird with that type of marking before, and luckily I am not afraid of spiders, that one would be enough to give someone who is nightmares.

I think your ladybug is one of the many disguises of the
Harmonia axyridis
,
aka
Asian ladybeetle.

Just found and ID'd a Knot grass moth caterpillar munching away on the flowers of one of my pincushion scabious.
