Thanks Liri, you are right, it could be the snail eggs but it was small, there again it could be slugs. Either way I am sure some eagle eyed bird or frog will find them tasty!
Not so many insects here either - it is so sad to see their demise. I love the shield bugs Papi Jo, one is lovely but to capture two on camera is so lucky, right place right time!
Thanks @Guernsey Donkey2 Not so lucky as you think, these little critters are quite busy copulating at the moment. Looking forward to the new-born ones, with a much more interesting array of colours than plain green.

Camera : Canon 7D
Lens : Canon EF100mm f2.8 USM Macro + Raynox DCR-150
Flash : Ring Flash with home made diffusion
