I just recorded it with the South East Wales Biodiversity Recording service. It's come up as the 12th site record in the whole of the region and they cover all the way to the Gower so it's a big area. I like to imagine an alarm sounding in some conservationist's office and some sort of call to action happening to preserve the population but it will probably just be filed electronically and add a small bit of data which might help in some small way. The Dingy Skipper I found last week hasn't been recorded in my valley either so I will be sure to add that one too.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
The best I've found today is an Alder fly of some kind. Apparently there are six species but they all look the same without getting them under a microscope.

I won't use 'beautiful', 'gorgeous' or 'brilliant' ever again. 🤣 I'm surprising the forum regulars let themselves use any adjectives at all. They have vetoed half my vocabulary.
