I found this interesting fellow in the garden today, my bug book says it is Agapanthia villosoviridescens: I don't think it's supposed to be up here, maybe I bought it with a plant.
Thank you. Yes, it's a scabiosa of some sort but they never seem to last very long in my garden which is a shame. It seems like poppies, foxgloves and scabiosa don't like my garden conditions.

Found a pic of an Antler moth, and taken in the west of Scotland as mine was, which looks very similar, so might be that.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
