I was just poking the spiders and heard a scratching from one of the bee tubes. I worked out which one it was and which end was scratching and popped a loose sliver of bamboo away to see what was happening inside. The photos are in sequence. She flew off seconds after emerging

Thanks everyone. I was so worried the photos wouldn't come out well. It's not something you get to photograph very often.
Another first for me today. A dingy skipper. Sadly not in my garden but only a few gardens away so hopefully one will come and visit. It's a section 7 priority species in Wales. I've no idea what that means but apparently I need to get some trefoils in the garden to encourage them.
