Lilyp, my Jonquils are from my late Mums garden (my childhood home). They moved into it in 1937. So, they are an old species. Don't know their name. Just a straight species I guess being so old.
Washing untangled from lone and finished in the dryer and folded up. Don't look now, but Hubby just came in and said it's raining!!!. It'll be interesting to see how much we get. Probably the usual 1-2 mm.
Horrible again today, so will probably be shopping for a new suit, niece is getting married soon.
Down at mum's new assisted living flat at the w/e, it is lovely, although she is trying to find fault with everything at the moment.
Bought her a few plants for her balcony, to brighten the place up.
Need to prepare for a short trip to the Highlands, am really giddy, love the north of Scotland so much. I am lucky to have been all over the world, but Scotland is still the best.
Have a good day all.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
yeah I know clari (from nursing) extra fluid increased blood flow. Ironically, I didnt have time for a drink in between going home from the Dr, to back and seeing the nurse, anyway, job done, am black and blue and sore! Traffic wasnt any lighter, coming from my road onto the main road, traffic lights only let 2 cars thru before changing, because they give priority to traffic already on the main road, so there was already a big queue. I got there nice and early parked up, and had a quick look at the papers.
We changed our plans ... instead of OH heading into the village on his bike, we got in the car and went to Hobbycraft and Morrisons ........ consequently it has not rained .......... yet
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I've spent the morning on the phone to the council.
Someone has complained that we have tenants in our flat, when the planning application was for "holiday let"
The enforcement officer was totally on my side, but " rules are rules" . I told him the tenants are moving out on Tuesday so he's happy, but having spoken to a colleague in planning thinks they'd refuse us permission for change to permanent tenants.
52 couples can stay there for a week at a time, but one couple can't stay for 52 weeks.
He agreed with me when I suggested it was " petty" , but he was only doing his job.
OH is beyond livid about the whole thing.
I asked what would have happened to our last tenants, had they not moved out in March ( with new baby only weeks away )
Shortened version, they'd have been evicted. So basically the council would have made them homeless, then had a legal responsibility to house them!!
