When he is better so to speak, I will get on the case see what I can do. I have my own PTSD, from being in a fire as a kid of 8 rescued by my lovelly Mum, anyway, he will be in soon, so tata for now.
I so want to offer you something helpful, but not sure how.
I have suffered from many of the symptoms your OH has [ and continue to suffer from some of them ]
I did not seek help for a long time, it did not seem a very manly condition to suffer from. I refused CBT for quite a long time, could not see how talking would solve my problems.
Eventually I did try it and it has been a revelation.
I was eventually forced into leaving my job, but have made great improvements over the last few years.
I am still scared about many social situations, struggle with change and have very few of my friends left.
I do however have a good life now and believe I will continue to improve.
There is hope.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Goodness NB. That sounds like a lot of baggage all round and especially for you to bear. Maybe you could persuade him to get some PTSD therapy/advice on the grounds that it might lighten your load a bit. I hope you get your conservatory sorted soon. We're due to have a small extension buit to make a shower room in the next week or so. I may swap horror stories with you.
Been to La Roche and bought our tiles and wangled a discount cos it's the sales and we were paying direct. Nice people also gave us the names of two tilers to try since ours has gone AWOL.
Lovely flowers Busy and a great idea.
Aunty Rachel - enjoy your kittens. We've had ours since late November and they're a barrel of fun.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Naany B - you certainly don't have your troubles to seek. I hope some positive help is available for your OH and that there is a satisfactory outcome to the building work.
Pi##ing down now but grass has been cut and edged and lots of pruning done by grass man and my daughter while I did some watering.
BL that case of flowers is achingly beautiful. So lovely.
NB I am glad you have found somewhere to vent - life must be pretty stressful at the moment. But you'll always get a listening ear on here.
Joyce, lovely to hear you've got your daughter with you. Chish & fips sounds perfect... I want some now.
Meant to say before - good luck Liri at the festival. Hope your throat holds out and you have a lot of fun. And good audiences!
I'm having a quiet beer on the patio. It's a lovely temperature just now and I'm having a moment appreciating fennel. Just came back from Y6 play - lots of energy but 90+ kids dancing and singing, plus parents, grandparents, siblings etc... boy it was hot in there.
Off to Brum tomorrow to collect older daughter (need to think of a suitable moniker like fairylet, chicklet or possum) from her big adventure and bring her home.
Can anyone remind me what we're supposed to call umbellifers now? I do love them.

'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
NB, my heart goes out to you ....I first felt guilty about posting about our relatively trivial life issues but then I saw your last sentence ...."Thinking of going out plant hunting!!" ......don't just think about it .....just do it ........would love to hear about what you found
Dachalover, NannyBeach said "What stuck to me, a pink lavender, very pretty deep pink Gaura, miltonia orchid, deep pink/white flower, and a calathea orange flowers, couldnt get them unstuck!!!" - so I imagine she did go plant hunting!
My first OH was bi-polar, he was lovely, but it could be sooo difficult because of the moods. I loved him dearly but he died, heart attack when I was 47, he was 53. I've talked about it before, this forum is great for getting things off your chest. I was lucky because years later I met 2nd OH who is so sweet and kind.
I feel for Nanny Beach, must be very hard at the moment. I was a nurse too, I think NB was.
OH's niece has just told us this evening when OH's BIL's funeral is - the day we catch the ferry back to France. I've managed to change the date for the ferry. We were going to visit Monet's garden at Giverny on the way back, staying 2 nights at a B&B. The B&B can't do the changed date so I've cancelled them and we have found another one. It has good Trip Advisor reviews. OH will be sad so I hope Monet's garden will help to cheer him up.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Was watching the tennis , can anyone tell me why the payment to the singles players is so much more than to the doubles players . Jamie and Martina have lit up Wimbledon ......?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
