Glad Chicklet has touched down safely ... Don't envy you your Heathrow relay image

The 'lovely early morning' we had is now very wet ... But the weather lady says it'll be gone in a couple of hours. Hope so ... Latitude starts today ... Son has been setting up there for the past few days and he'll be doing the sound for some of the acts. Good weather would be helpful image

    Morning all.

Joyce, isn't he a lovely big fellow, that brown boy? He seems to be gathering many of the girls around him - a new harem perhaps.  We might get some strange coloured youngsters.

Weather is a bit milder today, only down to about 1.5 degrees. Got three loads of washing done, now have undies hanging in the living room - my favourite - not!

glad chicklet has landed Chicky. She might get some rain in the next day or so. Wish it would come over here

Flippin' 'eck. I turn my back for 10 seconds and you're all rabbitin' 10 to the dozen.

Way too much to catch up on.

    NB hosta hugs from me.

Best wishes to all off on adventures , happy and sad and welcome home to those returning.

After my 3 hours sleep on Wednesday I gave up at 4 yesterday afternoon and had half an hour more sleep. I just couldn't stay awake.

Dare I say , " I'm pretty much on top of things in the garden now"?? or is that tempting fate?

    The weekend is almost here.

    Keep warm Pat.

Morning beautiful one here but the forecast is dreadful for tomorrow so I think it will be deadheading, grass cutting and fruit picking.

Did we not used to have a Harvest thread and a Troubles and Worries.  Maybe we should reopen them?

Thanks Punkdoc, assume you wer a Doc! Course I know there is hope you and I saw the worst of humanity, good and bad (and ugly)  He is thinking of putting the shed up, BUT there be rainclouds, have just done first washing for a week, since wash machine disconnected, it was taking over the place.  There are no trivial problems, your problem at the time is the very most important and worst! I know that.  Dail Mail (sorry for swearing I know a lot of you hate it!) mel Mooney agony aunt said last week people write in and complain and say how can you print such a trivial problem on your page, but it was important enough for the person to write in to her.

    Hi all.

Wet and cold here, but bulb catalogues have arrived, so that should keep me out of trouble.

Planning a trip to see MIL in Ballater, so I should be able to do a bit of walking.

I know this sounds very uncaring, but she will be in need of a care home soon, so we will not have a base up there.

Will you not try to find the care home there Punkdoc? Or, do you both want her nearer to where you are? It's always a difficult decision. When my Mother was diagnosed with cancer, she made me promise not to put her in a home , so I had to take long service leave from work and go down to her town where I nursed her until she died. It was a bit rough on Hubby who had to look after himself and the three kids, but in the end that's what the decisions have to take into consideration.

She will stay up there Pat, but we will need to sell her home to pay for the fees, so it will be hotels when we go to visit, which is an 8 hour drive.
