Maybe I'll leave him a post it note telling him how I love him (But that if he leaves a mess in my nice clean kitchen he's taking me out to a posh restaurant tonight... that should scare him).

    See original post

Well; it wasn't a posh restaurant but he did get fish and chips which apparently is equal to toast crumbs almost everywhere.

Thanks DL.  That looks yummy.   I used to run an international cookery group which had 2 Iranian members and their food was always luscious.  Very clever with rice which always had to be basmati.  OH will love that so I shall be trying it soon.

Fish and chips is fine by me too Clari but only once or twice a year.   Too easy to over indulge and not always easy to find mayo for the chips.  I've gone Belgian and don't do vinegar anymore.  I hope the kitchen was still clean.   How was the muddy field?

Hosta - OH did that with his waders and declared they were leaking.  Forgot his basic physics.

Mayo with chips here too Obelixx.

Seems like you had a good day out once you got Possum organised.

It was my turn to have the paintbrush today doing a large wooden trough. Another two coats will be required as it hasn't been treated for years.

Evening all. Been away all day and now showered and had summat to eat, and best of all - a cuppa image

Turned out to be a very dreich day here, and it was a bit iffy on the hill, but the wind wasn't as bad as predicted fortunately.

I'll have a quick look at what you've all been doing before I go and collect daughter from work  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Obelixx.....love the "I've gone Belgian and don't do vinegar anymore." I always hated vinegar and freaking salt......why oh why did they keep putting it on my fish and chips when all I wanted was to taste real fish and chips..................just like sugar and milk in tea ......tea is tea.....in Dublin when I was growing up it was not unusual to have .....three maybe even four spoons of sugar and a big gloop of full fat milk ....lovely .....actually I miss it image
