Morning all!  A hug for Joyce.  Hi Pat - lovely frosty pics, thanks.  image

I know what you mean, Clari, about the state of the kitchen after a good cooking session... worth it though.  image

Also sympathise with those whose OHs clean by "wiping".  Mine is a dear, but tends to "dab" at things; I blame his mother!  Soon after we married I taught him how to clean a bath, because he apparently hadn't been expected to clean up after himself, and how to wring out a cleaning cloth...  image

I'm home alone until tomorrow teatime.  Spending the rest of the day in the garden would seem the ideal use of a sunny day... except that I really, REALLY have to do some shopping, and carry on learning the music for the Buxton Fringe next week.  Maybe I can squeeze in some lawn mowing, at least.  image

Hope you have a lovely day in the hills, Fairy.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Afternoon everyone! Evening Pat! So sorry for my absence all! I've just spent about an hjour and a half catching up with July! image I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to look in! Doesn't help that we have had no rain so I have two hours watering in the evening when I get home from working hard in this heat all day! image have to say I'm frazzled and bought myself a paddling pool last weekend! image

I've read back but can only retain minimal info but wanted to catch up with you all.

Joyce, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine the journey you have been through together and am glad that you had your daughters company to support each other. Big hugs to you and your family x

Lilyp congratulations on the birth of Skye image I don't envy anyone being pregnant in this heat! A beautiful name for her, best wishes to all x

DD best of luck and enjoy today! Thinking of you and Charlie x

BusyL,very sorry to hear about your friends passing, hope you manage to get to Norfolk for a break soon and can check on the watering of your garden! X

Dove, roll on Monday when you escape the clutches of roboboot!  Take it easy to start with! X

Clari, I think you and I have the same personal dresser! As does your teddy! image

We are having a lovely weekend! Gorgeous weather, nice to not be working in it! Step womble has driven up to stay for the weekend, hav nt seen her since Christmas! Friends over in the garden last night for lamb kofta, salad and cocktails, lovely evening! Now two smoked salmon, caugette and asparagus quiches in the oven olive, tomato, avacado, mozzarella etc salad to make to go with it then she's off in town to have a reunion with all her old school friends. She's just qualified as a teacher and has met her new class which is  lovely so this may be my last chance to spoil her for a while! image

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! image

Hello Joyce, image the garden is in full bloom! image pergola is covered with a bench attached which I made from logs and pallets. Cornflowers rampaging through it all, its bonkers beautiful if not a little rustic! image I'll take some pictures over the weekend once I've chopped the heads off all the weeds that are poking through the lawn! image

All is well thank you very much , had some back surgery recently which I should have done many moons ago as it has changed my life , in a very positive way......did some other posts as the rain and cold is slowing down the whole seasonal process.....candles in the green house for example.......so thought I would come on to see how you guys are doingimage

Nice to see you again Dacha - fire looks good. Glad you're feeling some benefit from the surgery.

Good to see you too Wonks. You've been very busy of late!

Had a lovely day, but there was a horrible accident at Pitlochry on way home. Air ambulance and loads of police.  A chap came back down the line of cars and got us all to go off the wrong way down the slip road and divert along the old Military road and rejoin the A9. Meant there wasn't a big holdup and I got home at 7, twelve hours after I left. I was up near Aviemore LP - Feshiebridge - to do one of the most westerly of the Cairngorms, Sgor Gaoith. Nice and breezy but bright, so perfect  for a walk. I'll do pix later.

That's a bit of a pain about the tenants Hosta. They'd seemed ideal too. image

I had a friend called Gail. She said her mother called her that 'cos she was wet and windy  image

    It's my middle name....image

My girls know to clean up in the kitchen after they've cooked. I just hope they find partners that are the same  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
