Fairy image  That fire is mine, not Dacha's. Easy to mix up, I know.

have a good Sunday all. Nearly 4 pm, so the light is starting to go. I'm feeling rather tired and will be ready for dinner and a lazy evening watching Australian zinnia Warrior. Final coming up. Everything is coming to an end at the same time. Le Tour is almost finished as well.

Pat...I was really looking forward to the Australian Zinnia Warrior closely followed by the Aborigine Rose Boxer. image

    Morning all, afternoon Pat.

Woke very early, for me, and couldn't get back to sleep. Was SO tired when I went to bed too. We now have the last bits of furniture from my childhood home (which transfers to its new owners on Monday) - nowhere to put them at the moment so all stacked up - I feel strangely calmed by this.

We also have about 40 pots of varying sizes, condition, content and and style that we're plant-sitting for my brother over the course of the move - they're all on the patio and look unexpectedly great given the fact they were just plonked there. This has made us realise we need more green up near the house. I feel a pot and compost purchase coming on!

All that activity was undertaken in the heavy downpours yesterday. My goodness I got soaked through. It was quite warm though.

Hope everyone has a good day.

LG L ,  sometimes a random "plonking" gives a more pleasing effect than a carefully planned one.

    Morning all.

Coal face duties at 8 this morning.

Dacha , I'm with you salt and vinegar. I've not added salt since 1975.

The lake seems to be holding just fine. I had a look through binoculars this morning. Fingers crossed.

Looks like another day or sunshine and showers for us today.

    Devon.

Daisy, ha ha! The dratted spell checker did it again when I wasn't looking. Drives me crazy sometimes. It's always good for a laugh though. I always notice when someone is typing on a phone. I think it's because the buttons are so small. This iPad mini is bad enough. Don't fancy trying to do it on a phone keypad. image

Pat - I've not had enough sleep...image image

I like the idea of 'zinnia planting' too!

Mr Froome seems to have it all sewn up Pat - great result for him. I was pleased to see Tom Daley do so well too. He's had a lot of expectation put on him for someone so young.

Random plonking can be very satisfying - even to someone like me who likes order LG image

For once, I managed to get a pic of a meadow pipit yesterday. They usually disappear by the time you get the camera out.  He/she was very obliging - and had a mouthful of grub for a youngster  image

    Morning all.

You take such lovely bird photos, Fairy.
I hope it's the nice day that Dove says it will be. We are going to visit Mannington Gardens.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
