Very good Dacha. As you've no doubt guessed by our messy wood in "our photo", we cut and burn only old Eucalyptus. They do vary, some species burn better than others.
Super visit to family. Little Skye is not so little , she gained 1 lb in a week! busy time but lots achieved and big sister, still a baby herself at 2, was great fun. Slightly weary but have 48hrs before the Moscow crowd arrive for a week. They are now 4 and 7 months Hope the weather improves
Going to try and catch up hope everyone well, Joyce and Fairy has it rained all week?

Lots of pompoms in the garden with the trees in socks in La Rochelle. Sorry they're sideways.
We have a man coming in September to fell 2 sickly ash trees. He will cut it all into 50cm lengths for OH to chop up but, given the excessive heat that just one log generates in our log burner the logs will probably end up as a large insect hotel.
Our air has turned wet. Not enough to be a drizzle but at least it's trying. Off to weed.

And the wonderful Eucalyptus didn't even get a mention in the poem.....I guess the anonymous poet never made it south of the equator ......sweet Eucalyptus dreams

Down here in Devon they are very superstitious about burning Holly, very bad luck.
LP, It was torrential rain here on Tuesday night. The ground in the sunken area of the garden is still a bit squelchy.
Cheers Pat
