Flying visit late last night from son on his way home from successful gig at Lord Mayors celebrations. Then we just fell into bed and listened to Paul Jambikini. ... You lot were chatting late.
Now I'm on my second coffee and heading for the shower ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
morning all , another miserable day in the Russian countryside so going to cheer everyone up with a nice bacon and ricotta frittata......this is a leaf from our overcrowded tree area...looks suspiciously like maple..... is it?
Morning, dull and grey here but. I rain........yet. If Joyce and Fairy have had it it may have bypassed us?
Hello Dacha, hope your back is ok. My daughter has told me of the shocking weather in Moscow this summer. She has been in London for a few weeks, loving the heat, but returns tomorrow

Morning all! Afternoon Pat... what time is it in Moscow, Dachalover?
That doesn't look much like maples we grow in Britain... but you could start a separate ID thread & see if anyone recognises it. A photo of the bark could help too.
I like "Paul Jambikini", Dove. Not heard that one before!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Hosta
Rain was meant to be later Joyce - I'd hoped to get the washing dry before that, but.....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning all

Hope BL has good weather for her open garden day. I think she said it didn't look promising, but I may have dreamt that
Morning Dove. Best not to take the coffee in there with you - it dilutes it a bit...and makes it too frothy....

Yes Fairy, still sated, but can't help thinking about the feast.

It's just overcast and 'hing-y' now LP. I think the washing may come back in just as wet as it was when it went out!
Plap - polite version of sh**e really
I think DD might well be lying down in a darkened room by now....
Hope it went well for her. I'm sure she'll drop in and let us know how it all went.

Close to Chekhov south of Moscow we are two hours ahead of you Linodendron....but where my wife grew up in Sakhalin it is GMT +11........big country!
Thanks, Dachalover. My hubby taught English in Ekaterinburg for several weeks at a time, over a number of years. I think there it was +4 or 5...
I guess DD won't be able to lie for long in her darkened room, if she's opening again today! Hope she has plenty of help.
