    Morning all.

    I swear by these :

    https://www.bushwear.co.uk/bama-sokkets-thermal-insulated-socks-102705.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhfyPkrCc1QIVzqntCh3gEw5SEAQYASABEgLiCfD_BwE

They keep your socks in place and any sweat ( sorry ) goes to the outside layer of fabric so your socks and feet stay dry. I've used them for over 30 years since I worked in the GC in Scotland when I left school.

I've not ventured down to the lake this morning but it's looking fine .

Dacha, it's more of a DAM than a lake . It's the bank holding it all back which seems to be moving . I'll do what I can to it today and get some photos later. Maybe one of you clever folk might have a brilliant idea to resolve it.

    Devon.

Hosta ... Pa used to wear those over his two pairs of socks in the winter ... but then the local shop stopped stocking them ... no online shops in those days ...

Glad your lake is still there .......... any houses between it and the bottom of the valley?  I can't remember ...  is it still raining there?  We've got pretty persistent wet here too now ...

    Morning all.

Niiiiiiiiiice boots Clari. Maybe you should attach them to "his lordship's" rear end the odd time. image

Those bootsie tootsie things look great Hosta but they don't come in my size. (Surprise surprise! I can't get waders either...they start at a 6 and I take a 4!)

A farmer friend of mine recommends Thorlo socks for wellies; says they never move a mm. I haven't tried them yet but I'm gonna. My wellies give me achilles tendonitis. Is there a pattern forming here??? We need to redesign the wellie.

I think we need to redesign feet ... not fit for purpose .... and while we're at it I'm sure we could improve on knees ... intelligent design Huh!   Not when whoever designed mine image

No answer to that Dove image. Maybe future people will all be designed artificially to save our little problems.

Good morning Logan image  How are you doing?

My foot's a lot better thanks ...  I can get about and drive and it only aches a bit if I've been walking a lot ... I've even bought a new pair of wedge sandals (Hotter) .. I'm breaking them and my feet in by wearing them for an hour a dayimage

While they're at it, they can do shins. Why is all the padding at the back?image

    In London. Keen but lazy.

Dove that's greatimage. I'm getting better slowly thanks. Got the brace off, which I'm pleased about. It just feels stiff, but that's getting better. Got a appointment at the hospital gym on Friday. She said I'm doing very well. I've been walking a mile a day, without the boys. Told me not to walk a long way.image
